Step 1:Mix 100g Lithospermum and 1500ml Medicinal Alcohol in a sealed bottle

Stir well the mix, then seal and put it under shelter for 2 days.

Step 2:Add Alumen

After 2 days, test the color with a white cotton cloth. If there shows purple, filter the dregs and then add alumen into this lithospermum liquid.

Step 3:Prepare the Sappan Wood

Boil the sappan wood and water in a boiler for about 30-60 minutes.

Step 4: Process the dye

Grasp the middle place of the scarf and then put one end into the dye liquor which color you want to dye. And then process another with another bottle of dye liquor.

Step 5:Make the scarf dry

After you finish the dyeing, you can wash it and then hang it and waiting for dry.

  • A Scarf
  • Lithospermum 100g
  • Sappan Wood 100g
  • Medicinal Alcohol 1500ml
  • Alumen 20g
  • Boiler
  • Two Basins
  • Sealed Bottle
  • Gloves
