Hey everyone! Here is a cool idea for a beach themed room decor : a layered candle, resembling a seaside landscape! I hope you enjoy this DIY. It's easy to make, especially if you have a microwave, and you can even sell this candle at beach craft fairs. Enjoy!

Step 1:

Prepare 8 yellow candles, remove the wick and break them into small pieces. Keep one of the wicks to use in your candle.

Melt them at the microwave for 3-4 minutes or above boiling water.

Hold the wick in vertical position using a cloth pin or something similar.

Once the wax is liquid, pour it into a 250 ml/8.5 oz jar.

Step 2:

For the next layered I used 5 white tea light candles. After melting them and pouring the wax above the yellow layer, use a stick to crumble the wax, to simulate waves.

Step 3:

Show all imgs!
For the 3rd layer I used 3 white tea candles and 2 light blue.

Step 4:

Show all imgs!
For the 4rth layer I used 5 light blue candles. To create a nice blend between layers, pour the liquid wax when the previous layer is semi-harden (with a jello pudding look)

Step 5:

Show all imgs!
Last layer is from 5 dark blue tea candles.

Step 6:

This step is optional , but you can decorate the top of the jar with twine and starfish or seashells . I made the starfish myself using salt dough. Here is a video to that : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6a60wBHdVgk

And you are done!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial :)
